Garden Monolith 101, A Tale of Community
Something special happened on fxhash. A \$40K USD mistake was made by one of the most successful collectors and good people @tz1hyNv7RBzNPGLpKfdwHRc6NhLW6VbzXP3N. It was stressful, sad, controversial, then showed what a strong community exists on fxhash.
It all started when this Garden Monolith 🌿 by @tz1gBXG9fg8RMDH69KfKqwoTH5sFDmzt5yzm came through the sales feed, sold for 28.5 XTZ 🌮.
@tz1hyNv7RBzNPGLpKfdwHRc6NhLW6VbzXP3N[who was probably partying too hard a day after winning the @TezosCommons influencer award] fat fingered the listing, trying to list for 28,500 XTZ but instead listing at 28.5 XTZ.
There was a rush to the Price Discussion channel in the fxhash discord where this was the scene. My heart raced...
@tz1hyNv7RBzNPGLpKfdwHRc6NhLW6VbzXP3N stayed cool AF, but was likely having a heart attack.
Meanwhile price discussion was debating whether the buyer, who used 20 XTZ gas to snipe the GM, bought with good intentions to return it, or intended to keep it. There was controversy and argument on both sides. In the end, my favorite comment was this 💀.
After about 30 minutes of sweating 😓 we got an update from @tz1hyNv7RBzNPGLpKfdwHRc6NhLW6VbzXP3N that the GM had been returned.
Our hero, fellow smolskull, @tz1cATgZf5oodR6vqafZhuYP3ymRChimkdWM came through, returning life changing value, over \$40K USD to Pronoia.

This did not go unnoticed by one of the greatest generative artists and humans of our time @tz1gBXG9fg8RMDH69KfKqwoTH5sFDmzt5yzmwho generously gifted tije a Lushtemples NYC Sunday 🌿. A truly heartwarming gesture.
The fxhash community rejoiced. A near financial tragedy turned into a true showing of strong community and humanity. I can't imagine what it would have felt like to get a GM for less than 50 XTZ that's worth at least 25K XTZ, then return it to the rightful owner. After learning that @tz1cATgZf5oodR6vqafZhuYP3ymRChimkdWMis a 21 year old student who returned life changing money, I decided to turn this into an fx(text) article and see if we could raise some funds for them. Tije showed us the power and strength of this community, now let's do the same. I'll send 50% of primary sales to their wallet and they have a 50% royalty split.
